Medical Receptionist
We are looking for a rock-star Front Desk Medical Receptionist for our podiatry clinic. The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our podiatry clinic. This position is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, receiving copays, answering questions, and providing administrative support. We offer a pay rate of $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience, for this part-time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Patient Greeting and Check-In:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Verify patient information and update medical records as needed.
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, and other fees.
- Appointment Scheduling:
- Schedule appointments using the clinic's appointment software.
- Reschedule appointments as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to the clinic's schedule.
- Call referrals as they are received.
- Insurance Verification:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments.
- Administrative Support:
- Answer and direct phone calls and portal messages.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
- Handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the clinic.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand and walk as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
